For this project, the goal was to approach the FSU's design in a different, unconventional way. The first cue was it needed to be open and accessible on all sides due to the store placement, which meant cantilever support for the upper shelving, and a central support structure strong enough to hold multiple bottles on display.
Also, the Ballantines Chevron needed to be incorporated in a creative way, so we decided to have it as part of the shelving in the middle section, with embedded lighting to illuminate the distinct shape the brand mark creates.
